Govt guided Consumer welfare

Please make it compulsory to buy health insurance as much as possible.

1. Make all tax payers pay for (family) Health insurance, unless they can prove that they already have a policy.

2. Make it possible for them to buy a "standard" family plan. A simple, basic common plan to be compulsorily offered by all Insurance companies, the price can vary as per the company's decision.

3. Offer this standard, basic plan to all central and state govt and PSU (overall Sarkari) employees.

The idea behind this is compulsory basic insurance in Netherlands etc. which allows no exceptions and fine print to exclude health conditions. Citizens can be fined if they do not have this, registered against their name.
Poor get subsidy to cover part of the cost, depending on income.
Free for below 18.

Govt should promote more products it thinks are good for citizens, or at least enable Sarkari people to buy them. (as part of bonus, instead of money)

Such as efficient (Electric, Hybrid), space saving, safe transport, Nano purchase scheme for all Sarkari employees. (or E-bike)
Govt should promote some selected innovate useful excellent design products and help them further their market.
Incubate, invest if possible or required.
It should select some essential useful products, Rank and Rate them and then promote the best (most useful) for easy purchase.
Instead of just BIS OK certificate, more proactive ranking will help consumers become more aware and reform the market.

Just like Sarkari people are forced to book Air India for travel.
This is justifiable, for example also the LED bulb sale scheme.

The govt should intervene more and not less to raise the bar for the overall quality of the market and expand the market in a very good way.

Of what purpose, happiness?

Happiness is an end unto itself. After it is what it is. Purpose of life is after all 64 (and happiness). A self fulfilling goal. No need to inquire about the purpose of our actions, what is right or wrong with a deeper understanding. Be happy, purposefully. Easy? Right? Perhaps a bit too easy or Simple but not easy?

Ban intraday/ non delivery trades

What purpose, other than betting, is the reason for such trades? Stick to the basics of what a Share constitutes. A share of company ownership/capital. A minimum lock in of 5 days should be enforced for all buyers. The method of enforcement can be a progressive taxation regime. 99% tax for intraday. So the taxation should be enforced based on the Exact duration of the ownership, computers can compute that very easily. Since shares reside only in dematerialized form and the depositories of shares are only two in India which are both government owned, data of such trades is easily computable and enforceable. The government makes money from betting may be a good excuse, just like lotteries, to continue with the charade. Market is always right, regulations should be lax and not too heavy, just right enough to protect the societal norms. In which case they should never be used as tools for progressive thought. Stock market is not for betting. It should be differentiated from do...

Destruction of Self-respect by the Indian Education system

It all looks not so insidious or evil. You send your kid to school, like raising a disciplined little regiment of children. Other than taking 12 years to produce a vast array of idiots and dimwits (such as those who elect D Trump, in a 100% literate land also called the 'hope of the world'). The evil IMHO starts with the school leaving age. There appears a big big disconnect between the schooling and the real world. I am a very literate person, I realise now, about midway through my life (fingers crossed), that I tend to take things a bit (too) literally, perhaps, for the country I was born in. This chasm (of the disconnect) manifests itself gigantically in a dysfunctional (or functional chaos?) country like India. All is well till about the first 10 years of school, other than making you repeat some stuff to make sure you do get it. It is a wide array of topics, with reasonable coverage, which leaves a bit of time for goofing off. An average, non-psychotic kid should be...
